About the Role

Société Financière Manuvie is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Director, Capital Accounting, Reporting & Control. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our financial reporting and controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting and Control: Prepare and review financial reports, including monthly and quarterly adjustments, to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Capital Accounting: Assist in the preparation and review of capital transactions, including entries into the general ledger and loan administration system.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Advisory and Support: Provide advisory and support services to segment and functional teams on financial matters.
Requirements
  • Strong Financial Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with a strong background in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Accounting Designation: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent.
  • Experience in Consolidation and FX Accounting: Proven experience in consolidation and FX accounting, with a strong understanding of financial processes and regulations.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word, and experience with finance applications and Manulife's financial tools.
