Position Overview

The Clinical Pharmacist is tasked with delivering comprehensive pharmacy services to both customers and healthcare professionals. This role is essential in promoting excellence in patient-centered care, enhancing customer interactions, improving workflow processes, and implementing PROfile initiatives. The Clinical Pharmacist will also mentor Pharmacy students and supervise Pharmacy Assistants, ensuring that all patients receive expert clinical services. This position fosters a culture of engagement among employees and customers alike.

Key Responsibilities

Patient-Centered Care

Focus on clinical services, including disease management, medication assessments, and health risk evaluations. Prioritize prescription safety by delegating technical tasks to Pharmacy Assistants when available. Develop and monitor care plans, ensuring thorough documentation. Gather pertinent patient, medication, and health information. Identify and address actual and potential medication-related issues. Oversee medication adherence among patients. Provide counseling for new therapies, ensuring patients understand their medication regimens. Customize counseling approaches to meet individual patient needs, including considerations for literacy and privacy.

Customer Engagement

Greet customers promptly and professionally. Exhibit warmth, empathy, and compassion in all customer interactions. Deliver exceptional service to every customer.

Additional Duties

Comply with and enforce all relevant company standards. Perform other responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

Technical Skills:

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail. Self-motivated and capable of working independently to meet deadlines. Team-oriented mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution. Must hold a valid Pharmacist license in the relevant province. Certification in Injection Administration. Previous experience in a retail or pharmacy setting is preferred.
