Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at EDO Japan. As a key member of our dining operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our culinary offerings, ensuring exceptional quality and service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of our food preparation team, ensuring efficient and effective meal preparation and service.
  • Estimate and manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring timely ordering and minimizing waste.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure that our food and service meet the highest standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for our operations team.
  • Prepare and submit reports on food service performance, highlighting areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with our chef to prepare food order summaries, ensuring seamless communication and execution.
  • Supervise and inspect the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys, ensuring timely and accurate service.
  • Establish and manage work schedules, ensuring adequate staffing and coverage during peak periods.
Supervision and Support
  • Lead a team of 3-4 staff members, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to ensure their success and growth.
  • Offer support and opportunities for professional development, including mentorship programs and networking opportunities, to help our team members achieve their career goals.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
Work Environment
  • Permanent full-time position.
  • 40 hours per week.
  • English language required.
