About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Support Specialist to join our team at EQ Bank | Equitable Bank. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our employees, ensuring the smooth operation of our software and hardware systems, and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support (60%)
    • Provide timely and effective technical support to employees via various channels, including phone, email, and ticket system.
    • Act as the first point of contact for IT-related issues and resolve problems efficiently.
    • Collaborate with external service providers to install and maintain our technologies.
  • Project Implementation (10%)
    • Assist in the rollout of endpoint software via automation scripts or Group Policy.
    • Participate in Change Management and assist in implementing end-point related changes.
  • Operational Improvements & Administration (10%)
    • Maintain adequate stock levels for IT operations and keep the IT storage room organized.
    • Support business-critical applications during disaster recovery exercises.
    • Track and manage IT assets throughout their lifecycle.
  • Security & Compliance (10%)
    • Assist in quarterly logical access audits and produce reports.
    • Maintain good audit logs on all tasks related to logical or administrative access management.
  • IT Procurement (10%)
    • Forecast and procure IT equipment needs to meet day-to-day operations.
    • Assist in processing procurement requests from the IT department.
Requirements
  • A college diploma in IT Computer Systems or Networks or relevant experience is required.
  • Higher accreditation (e.g., Bachelor of Computer Science) is an asset.
  • Customer-oriented and cool tempered.
  • Good command of Windows command line (e.g., PowerShell 4, Command Prompt).
  • Working knowledge of procurement of IT equipment as well as processing invoices.
  • 1 – 3 years of technical experience in troubleshooting.
