About the Company

Vaco is a leading recruitment agency specializing in placing top talent in various industries, including manufacturing and finance. Our client, a glass and plastic recycling company, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team.

About the Opportunity

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full-cycle accounting and costing for the plastics business unit, as well as overseeing the corporate shared service functions for the company. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day financial activities and streamlining financial processes.
  • Hands-on management of the month-end close process, tax filing and remittance, financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and analysis.
  • Preparing monthly financial analysis of budget vs actuals.
  • Forecasting and managing cash flows.
  • Preparing weekly and monthly management reports.
  • Coordinating and summarizing monthly inventory counts and investigating variances.
  • Preparing year-end schedules to support the annual audit and tax returns.
  • Coordinating the preparation of company and department budgets and forecasts.
  • Supervising payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable functions.
  • Tracking and reporting on capital expenditures.
  • Providing financial and accounting support to operational areas of the company.
About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager with a strong background in full-cycle accounting and a passion for the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A CPA designation.
  • At least 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in inventory count investigation and analysis.
Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $130,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
