Job Title: Human Resources Advisor Contract

The Federal Bridge Corporation Limited (FBCL) is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Advisor to provide expert guidance and support to our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in shaping our organization's HR strategies and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide HR program leadership and support to ensure the efficient operation of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, community partnerships, leave support, return to work, job descriptions, end of employment, and employee recognition programs.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver new employee orientation and build effective working relationships with employees and people leaders.
  • Offer advice and guidance on HR programs, policies, procedures, and collective agreements to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Assist in union management meetings, grievance response, preparing correspondence, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Administer, report, and monitor occupational and non-occupational injuries, illnesses, accidents, and leaves.
  • Triage requests and determine the course of action independently.
  • Maintain the accuracy of the Human Resources Management System (HRMS).
  • Work in a team environment, develop a supportive and productive working relationship with other staff, and provide input to overall process enhancement and efficiencies.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as an advisor, influence outcomes, and build relationships across the organization.
  • Ability to understand and evaluate business requirements and adapt services to meet the needs of the corporation.
  • Sound knowledge and broad understanding of employment laws and legislations, Human Resources challenges, and trends.
  • Efficient problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written) to act as a professional and inquisitive liaison.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work within a team and with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality with access to sensitive information.
  • Proficient skills and experience in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain reliability security clearance.
  • Bilingualism is considered an asset.
