About the Role

We are seeking a professional and energetic Human Resources Advisor to join our HR team. As a key member of our team, you will provide guidance and advice to employees and managers on HR policies, employee relations, recruitment, and workforce development. You will be responsible for supporting the Bank's HR functions, including participating in the full cycle recruitment process, monitoring policies and processes, and providing support to leaders regarding performance and talent management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the full cycle recruitment process, including job description development, job posting, interviewing, and offer stages.
  • Monitor policies and processes to ensure alignment with applicable employment standards.
  • Provide support to leaders regarding performance and talent management, employee relations, and ad hoc inquiries.
  • Responsible for day-to-day occupational health and safety compliance, including training new health and safety representatives and working with managers on health and safety related issues.
  • Assist with administration of HR programs and ensure verifications of employment and security processes are completed.
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives, including planning and executing company events and team building activities.
  • Assist the CHRO with various projects, including the creation of reports and presentations as required.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related degree, with a major in Human Resources.
  • ~ 3+ years prior human resources experience in a generalist role.
  • ~ Proficient knowledge of standard office equipment including MS Word and Excel.
  • ~ Ability to work effectively at all levels (staff and senior management, Board of Directors).
  • ~ Knowledge of US employment laws and benefit programs is an asset.
