About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Sushi Nami Royale Downtown. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Food Preparation: Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit, as well as scouring pots and pans.
  • Service and Presentation: Ensure that dishes, flatware, and other items are brought to serving areas and set tables in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving customers at counters or buffet tables, and handling customer inquiries.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and handling heavy loads.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
