Job Description & Summary:
A career in our External Audit Process Assurance division, within Process Assurance services, will empower you to assist clients in enhancing their control activities, strategic planning, and operational policies. You will engage in transaction evaluations, readiness assessments, and utilize various technical Information Technology controls (such as databases, operating systems, data warehouses, and reporting tools) to support our clients in achieving peak operational efficiency.Our team aids organizations in navigating the increasingly intricate reporting landscapes by refining internal controls and bolstering confidence in the integrity of the information generated by their internal systems. We concentrate on the design, documentation, and functionality of controls surrounding the financial reporting process, which includes financial business processes and Information Technology management controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver management services, including technology risk assessments, leveraging control frameworks (COSO, COBIT).
- Engage in audits of IT Controls, testing both automated and manual business process controls, and conducting internal audits with an IT focus.
- Execute tasks efficiently while adhering to deadlines and budgetary constraints established during the planning phase.
- Consult with clients on operational controls and avenues for process enhancement.
- Document clear and concise audit evidence gathered during the audit execution, ensuring relevance and quality.
- Analyze control deficiencies identified during audits and assess their impact on financial data and overall audit strategy.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with internal teams and external clients.
- Uphold the firm's ethical standards and business conduct policies.
Required Experiences and Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to document processes and controls, and develop and implement testing programs.
- Strong understanding of technology, IT practices, and standards, including infrastructure-related risks and controls in security and IT control frameworks.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Progress towards professional certifications such as CPA, CA, CMA, CGA, CIA, CGAP, CISA, CISM, or CISSP.
- Proficient in prioritizing tasks and resolving issues effectively.
- Familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English is required, with additional language skills being an asset.
