Job Description & Summary
A career in our External Audit Process Assurance division will enable you to support clients in enhancing control activities, organizational strategies, and procedural frameworks. You will perform transaction assessments, readiness evaluations, and utilize various technical Information Technology controls (such as databases, operating systems, data management systems, and reporting tools) to help our clients attain optimal operational effectiveness.Our team aids organizations in navigating the increasingly intricate reporting landscapes by refining internal controls and bolstering confidence in the quality of information generated by their internal systems. We concentrate on the design, documentation, and functioning of controls surrounding the financial reporting process, including financial business processes and Information Technology management controls.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Associate in IT Audit, you will collaborate with a team of problem solvers, addressing complex business challenges from strategy to execution. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing management services, including technology risk assessments and leveraging control frameworks (COSO, COBIT)
- Participating in audits of IT controls, testing automated and manual business process controls, and conducting internal audits with an IT focus
- Executing tasks efficiently while adhering to deadlines and budgetary constraints outlined in the planning phase
- Consulting with clients on operational controls and process enhancements
- Documenting clear and concise audit evidence gathered during the audit execution and validating their relevance and quality
- Analyzing control deficiencies identified during audits and their implications on financial data and overall audit strategy
- Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with internal teams and external clients
- Upholding the firm's ethical standards and business conduct
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven ability to document processes and controls, develop and execute testing programs
- Strong knowledge of technology, IT practices and standards, infrastructure-related risks, and controls in security and IT control frameworks
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field
- Progressing towards CPA, CA, CMA, CGA, CIA, CGAP, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Strong prioritization and problem-solving skills
- Exposure to data analytics and visualization tools
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities
- Fluency in English and French is required for collaboration with diverse clients and stakeholders
