About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Caregiver to join our team at Chartwell Cité-Jardin 3B 5 residence for seniors. As a Medical Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living activities: Serve meal trays, feed patients, and assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Maintain a safe environment: Administer first aid in emergency situations, and maintain inventory of supplies.
  • Communicate effectively: Answer call signals to determine patients' needs, and provide excellent oral communication.
  • Work collaboratively: Team up with colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery, and demonstrate initiative and flexibility.
  • Meet regulatory requirements: Complete necessary training, such as Moving Patients Safety Principles (MPSP) and CPR Certificate.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to distinguish between colours, sound discrimination, and manual dexterity.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and physically demanding.
