Security Officer

Pickering Casino Resort is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team.
Job Summary:The Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and protection of employees, guests, and company assets at the site level. This includes enforcing policies and procedures, monitoring alarm panels, controlling access to sensitive areas, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and respond to security incidents and emergencies
- Conduct regular patrols of the interior and exterior of the property
- Enforce restricted access by unauthorized persons
- Assist with investigations and prepare written reports
- Provide first aid and medical attention as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe and welcoming work environment
- Stay up-to-date with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a customer service or public service role
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset
- Previous experience or training in security an asset
- Computer literacy in MS Office
- Able to organize data with great accuracy
- Knowledge of privacy legislation an asset
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work independently and apply good judgment and discretion under pressure
- A valid class "G" driver's license with a clear driving record
- A current First Aid/CPR certification
- Ability to successfully obtain Smart Serve certification
- The ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
