About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and creative Lead Level Designer to join our team and contribute to the ongoing success of Fortnite. In this role, you will lead a talented team of designers in crafting immersive and engaging gameplay experiences within the vibrant world of Fortnite Battle Royale.
Responsibilities:- Provide strategic leadership and direction to a team of Level Designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Conceptualize, design, and implement compelling level layouts that enhance gameplay, storytelling, and visual appeal.
- Collaborate closely with Art Directors, Production teams, and Gameplay specialists to ensure seamless integration of levels within the overall game vision.
- Champion best practices for Level Design, establishing clear guidelines and workflows to maintain consistency and quality.
- Conduct playtests, analyze player feedback, and iterate on designs to optimize gameplay and user experience.
- Mentor and guide junior Level Designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering their professional growth.
- Proven track record of leading successful Level Design teams in the development of multiplayer games, ideally within a Games-as-a-Service (GaaS) model.
- Deep understanding of level design principles and best practices for creating engaging and balanced gameplay experiences.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard level editors (e.g., Unreal Engine 4/5).
- Passion for gaming and a strong understanding of the Fortnite Battle Royale genre.
