Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Reliability Engineer
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Experience Required: 5+ years

Position Overview:
The Cloud Infrastructure SRE L3 team operates within the Enterprise Computing division at Axelon Services. This team is globally distributed and dedicated to managing cloud and container-based solutions for both internal and external stakeholders. You will be part of a global operations model that ensures accountability for the technologies managed by the team across various regions. Team members regularly collaborate with engineering units and contribute to the evaluation and validation of software deployed on the platform. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver L3 support for the private cloud infrastructure, including participation in on-call rotations.
  2. Collaborate closely with the internal engineering teams, providing insights on testing new component releases and infrastructure enhancements, along with performance, capacity, and monitoring considerations.
  3. Develop and refine support processes, including training, documentation, customer interaction, incident management, problem resolution, and change management.
  4. Contribute to the development of internal CLIs and APIs to streamline SRE activities and enhance platform automation.
  5. Engage with L2 teams and other L3 colleagues across international locations.
Essential Skills:
  1. 5 to 10 years of pertinent experience in platform maintenance and development.
  2. Proficiency in at least one programming language.
  3. Experience in managing complex production environments utilizing both cloud and legacy technologies.
  4. Demonstrated expertise with Kubernetes and Docker.
  5. Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk.
  6. Strong organizational capabilities and the ability to handle multiple tasks and high-pressure scenarios for outage resolution.
  7. Effective communication skills with diverse user groups, including developers, engineers, and remote team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience in designing monitoring architectures and implementing monitoring agents and alerts.
  2. Familiarity with Golang, React, and Kubernetes Operators.
  3. Understanding of security protocols such as SSL/TLS and Kerberos.
