Job Title: Drywall Installation Specialist

At Shyam Drywall Ltd., we are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in commercial and residential projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation and Finishing: Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Corner Bead Installation: Install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and provide a durable finish.
  • Ceiling Grid Installation: Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids to create a professional-looking ceiling.
  • Acoustical and Coffered Ceilings: Work on acoustical and coffered ceilings to create a unique and functional space.
  • Joint Compound Application: Fill joints and cracks with joint compound to ensure a seamless finish.
  • Drywall Sheet Installation: Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to meet project requirements.
  • Securing Drywall: Secure drywall sheets to studs or joists to ensure a stable structure.
  • Taping and Embedding: Tape and embed tape in compound to create a strong bond.
Work Environment and Conditions:
  • Working at Heights: Work at heights to install drywall and ceiling grids.
  • Dusty Conditions: Work in dusty conditions to install drywall and other materials.
  • Noisy Environment: Work in a noisy environment to meet project deadlines.
Work Setting:
  • Commercial and Residential Projects: Work on commercial and residential projects to meet client requirements.
  • Various Locations: Work at various locations to complete projects efficiently.
Physical Demands and Work Conditions:
  • Bending and Crouching: Bend and crouch to install drywall and other materials.
  • Physically Demanding Tasks: Perform physically demanding tasks to meet project requirements.
  • Repetitive Activities: Perform repetitive activities to ensure quality work.
  • Standing for Extended Periods: Stand for extended periods to complete tasks efficiently.
Weight Handling:
  • Up to 20 lbs: Handle weights up to 20 lbs to complete tasks safely.
Required Tools and Equipment:
  • Hard Hat: Wear a hard hat to ensure safety on the job site.
  • Safety Glasses/Goggles: Wear safety glasses/goggles to protect eyes from debris.
  • Steel-Toed Safety Boots: Wear steel-toed safety boots to protect feet from injury.
