Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Rebel Custom Homes Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, cutting and installing metal corner beads, and fabricating and installing suspended metal ceiling grids.

Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to ensure a smooth and even finish
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
Work Environment

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying temperatures, dust, and noise levels. You will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel to perform tasks.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drywall installation
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
