Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our team at SC Johnson Professional. As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for operating various pieces of equipment, completing batch processing, and supporting multiple production lines across several technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain various types of equipment, including filling, labeling, packaging, and palletizing equipment.
  • Prepare complete and accurate systems records and adhere to standard processes.
  • Participate in problem-solving and loss teams, and lead and facilitate discussions to resolve equipment malfunctions.
  • Perform AM (autonomous maintenance) and PM (planned maintenance) work on equipment, and set centerlines.
  • Move throughout various functions within the manufacturing environment, including production lines, material handling/warehouse, and processing.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of Safety, Health, and Environment principles and practices.
  • Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work all shifts, nights, afternoons, and continental shifts as required.
  • Proven ability to undertake tasks of substantial variety or complexity.
  • Demonstrated strength in problem-solving and troubleshooting.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexibility to work within teams and independently with minimal supervision to meet operational goals.
  • Proficient in the use and application of MS Office Suite Products.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical diploma or degree.
  • 1-3 years' experience in Manufacturing.
  • Experience within a Lean Manufacturing Environment.
  • Demonstrated ability in problem-solving and troubleshooting.
  • GMP experience an asset.
