Pharmacist Role at Prairie Mountain Health

The pharmacist is an integral member of the healthcare team at Prairie Mountain Health, contributing significantly to patient care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Administering medications through diverse distribution methods
  • Authenticating and assessing medication orders for suitability
  • Offering pharmaceutical information and guidance to patients
  • Observing and evaluating patients' clinical conditions and treatment plans
  • Overseeing pharmacy technicians and trainees
  • Collaborating with pharmacy leadership on policy development
  • Participating in advanced practice initiatives

Experience: Prior experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.

Education: A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or an equivalent qualification, along with the required licensure and certifications.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to lead and exercise independent judgment
  • Excellent communication, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to diversity and confidentiality
