Job Summary

We are seeking a Feeder/Catcher to join our production team. This entry-level position involves rotating between feeder and catcher duties, ensuring the smooth operation of our gluing machines and packaging lines. The successful candidate will be responsible for feeding cartons into the gluer machine, removing finished cartons from the press, and packing them into cases.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual labor duties in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while working under tight production deadlines.
  • Feed cartons into the gluer machine, ensuring proper alignment and quality.
  • Remove finished cartons from the press and pack them into cases, maintaining quality control standards.
  • Monitor machine malfunctions and notify the Adjuster of any issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
  • Perform basic preventative care and troubleshooting of machinery and equipment.
  • Safely perform all tasks on and around the machinery and equipment.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Attend and participate in ongoing training and development programs.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in manufacturing or machine operations is preferred, but on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand/power tools are desired.
  • Strong dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to maintain production pace are essential.
  • English language knowledge, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing, is required.
  • Basic computer skills and math skills are necessary.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift routine and occasional heavy loads is required.
  • Excellent attendance record and ability to work well with others in a team environment are essential.
  • Availability to work any shift schedule and adherence to company safety policies and government legislation are required.
