Position Overview

The role of the Food Service Supervisor involves overseeing the daily operations of a food service establishment, ensuring that high standards of quality and efficiency are maintained.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years in a supervisory role within the food service industry.
Work Environment

This position is situated in a fast-paced food service setting, where the ability to work under pressure is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement methods to meet work schedules.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff involved in food preparation and portioning.
  • Conduct training for staff on job responsibilities, sanitation, and safety protocols.
  • Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
  • Recruit and hire food service personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control standards for food and service.
  • Prepare budgets and cost estimates for operations.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare and submit operational reports.
  • Compile food order summaries for the chef.
  • Oversee the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys.
  • Establish and manage work schedules for staff.
Supervision

This role includes supervising a small team of 1 to 2 individuals.
