About the Role

CSA Group is seeking a highly skilled Research Manager, Standards Development to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead research projects and contribute to the development of standards that shape the industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage research projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outputs.
  • Develop and implement research methodologies and quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of research findings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to promote research publications and other research program activities.
  • Oversee the maintenance of CSA Communities Research site, ensuring it remains a valuable resource for research and scholarship engagement.
  • Manage select projects to source and secure research contractors, including development of Requests for Proposals, vetting of applications, and contract development.
  • Support the management of Research Scholarship programs, including promotion, intake of new applications, responding to queries, and preliminary review of applications.
  • Work across all standards sectors on a wide range of topics, requiring a solid knowledge of research methodology and publication standards.
Requirements
  • Graduate degree (e.g. Masters) with a focus on research.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in a standards or research environment.
  • Experience in developing and managing research projects.
  • Experience with publication of research.
Desirable Skills
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills and ability to review and prepare clear concise reports and other research material.
  • Professional and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide range of individuals and stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational, planning and coordination skills. Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, discretion and diplomacy.
  • Applicants with proficiency in French will be given special consideration.
