Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Division Leader, Engineering to join our team at NPA WorldWide. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading a diverse team of engineers and providing technical expertise to support the development of our municipal services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of engineers in the planning, design, and implementation of municipal services and infrastructure projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and municipal policies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our engineering operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of engineering services with other municipal functions.
  • Manage and prioritize engineering projects to meet deadlines and budget requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including residents, businesses, and other municipal departments.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure our engineering services remain current and effective.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Transportation Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 5+ years of experience as a licensed Professional Civil Engineer (eligible for licensure in Ontario).
  • 5+ years of progressive engineering experience in municipal public works, encompassing urban, semi-urban, and rural environments.
  • 5+ years of progressive supervisory experience in a unionized setting.
  • Proven abilities in time management and organizational skills with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated integrity and adherence to professional standards, regulations, and corporate policies.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Sound judgment, initiative, and creativity in evaluating engineering solutions.
  • Practical knowledge of municipal policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and relevant civil engineering design and modeling software.
  • Familiarity with key legislation including the Environmental Assessment Act, Municipal Act, and others.
