About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Glass Installation Specialist to join our team at Retroteck Window Mfg Ltd. as a Glazier. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and repairing glass products, including windows, doors, and mirrors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure and Cut Glass: Measure and cut glass to fit specific openings and requirements.
  • Position and Secure Panes: Position and secure glass panes in frames, ensuring proper alignment and sealing.
  • Assemble and Install Glass Products: Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, and other glass products.
  • Repair Glass Structures: Repair glass doors, windows, and other glass structures, including replacing broken glass and reassembling frames.
  • Operate Scaffolding and Rigging Equipment: Safely operate scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment to access and install glass products.
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation and repair of glass products.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Physical Demands: This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bending and Lifting: Regularly bend, crouch, and lift heavy objects, including glass and equipment.
  • Work Schedule: Work a standard 40-hour week, with occasional overtime as required.
  • Language: English is the primary language used in this role.
