About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Glass Installation Specialist to join our team at NEWCRAFT WINDOWS & DOORS INC. as a Glazing Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and repairing glass products, including windows, doors, and other glass structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine the type of glass, frames, and materials required for each installation
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass to ensure precise fits
  • Position and secure panes in frames, ensuring proper alignment and sealing
  • Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products
  • Install door, window, and other hardware, including hinges, handles, and locks
  • Repair glass doors and other glass structures, including replacing broken glass and reassembling frames
  • Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment, ensuring safe working conditions
  • Transport cases of glass, handling heavy loads with care
  • Estimate costs and materials required for each installation, ensuring accurate quotes and efficient use of resources
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages, adhering to safety protocols and regulations
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, ensuring accurate understanding of project requirements
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field
  • Ability to work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding environments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients
