About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Manager, Road Assist Fleet to join our team at BCAA. As a key member of our Roadside Assistance team, you will be responsible for leading a dedicated team of Fleet Technicians and ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service to our Members.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the automotive industry, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory role. You will be responsible for recruiting, training, and developing team members, as well as fostering a culture of safety and excellence within the fleet.

You will also be responsible for holding overall performance and accountability for Fleet Driver operational KPIs, executing strategies to achieve high customer satisfaction scores, and procuring and maintaining necessary tools and equipment for Fleet Drivers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, train, develop, coach, and manage team members to meet objectives and ensure skill development.
  • Support and cultivate a 'Safety First' culture through regular roadside visits with Fleet Drivers.
  • Hold overall performance and accountability for Fleet Driver operational KPIs, encompassing both towing and service aspects.
  • Foster a culture of belonging and unity within the fleet and management, promoting good team engagement.
  • Execute strategies to consistently achieve high customer satisfaction scores, measured through NPS/CSI metrics.
  • Procure and maintain necessary tools and equipment for Fleet Drivers, ensuring safety and efficiency through vendor negotiation and inventory management.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in the automotive industry, with prior supervisory experience in another position.
  • Diploma in business management, or equivalent experience.
  • A certification in Automotive Mechanical repair, or equivalent work experience.
  • Comfortable using technology, including working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work varied hours, including weekends.
  • Willingness to travel locally to support BCAA technicians as required.
