Job Title: Undergraduate Clinical Supervisor, Nursing

Brock University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Undergraduate Clinical Supervisor, Nursing to join our team. As a key member of our nursing department, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the highest standards of clinical education and training for our undergraduate nursing students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the interviewing and mentoring of new clinical instructors for the undergraduate program
  • Provide a consistent and accessible presence across all clinical and agency sites
  • Collaborate with course instructors to share guidance on course objectives and strategies to implement these objectives and expectations for each clinical course offered in the undergraduate program
  • Develop and implement a system for the assessment and evaluation of clinical instructor performance, including feedback mechanisms
  • Monitor the clinical learning environment to ensure students receive appropriate supervision, mentorship, and opportunities to apply their knowledge
  • Identify and address any challenges or barriers that may hinder students' clinical learning and professional development
  • Review and remain current on the theoretical nursing curriculum to ensure alignment within the clinical nursing practices
Requirements:
  • Masters in Nursing or a related field
  • Currently registered as a RN and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • A valid G-class drivers license and acceptable drivers abstract
  • Immunizations, mask fit, TB skin testing, and agency requirements must be current
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent clinical experience and clinical instructor experience
  • Minimum of 3 years in a leadership/manager/supervisor role
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching
  • Demonstrated current knowledge of clinical nursing skills
  • Knowledge of nursing legislation, standards, and guidelines
  • Knowledge of risk management policies and safety practices for Brock, local hospitals, and community organizations
  • Proficiency and comfort with Microsoft Office and other technology applications
What We Offer:
  • Job Grade (M), Salary Scale ($68,600-$117,600)*
  • Target Hiring Range: $75,000-$85,000
  • This position includes full comprehensive benefits including tuition waiver

*The salary range indicated is representative of all positions evaluated at this level. Actual salary is determined by assessing related skills, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness, subject to available budget.
