Job Title: Director, Commercial Operations

Home Trust Company is a leading alternative lender in Canada, with a strong track record of success. We are seeking a highly experienced Director, Commercial Operations to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act decisively to move commercial strategies and initiatives forward in a timely manner.
  • Lead business initiatives, including change management, capacity planning, and performance reporting.
  • Work effectively with internal business partners to improve underwriting and administrative systems.
  • Monitor risks and identify escalating issues related to implementation and performance of projects.
  • Evaluate business partners and maintain fraud, quality, and performance metrics.
  • Review and assess Servicer onboarding documentation, including financial statements and policy/procedures.
  • Develop tactical strategies to support the overall commercial business strategy.
  • Break down strategic problems and analyze data to provide insights and recommendations.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years mortgage lending/underwriting experience with increasing responsibility.
  • In-depth understanding of commercial lending products, policies/guidelines, and procedures.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to identify risks and remove roadblocks.
  • Ability to manage high volume of demands and often competing priorities.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and leadership skills.
