Job Opportunity

This position oversees the day-to-day activities of site maintenance and manages resources to support production demand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute and manage site performance through effective problem-solving, leveraging experience in process utilities, HVAC, OEMs, process chemicals, BAS, purified water systems, and instrumentation.
  • Resolve complex problems or those without precedent, utilizing best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products/services or processes.
  • Lead employees assigned to site maintenance and site systems, often leading project teams and formally training junior staff.
  • Manage contractors hired to execute site-related work and ongoing projects as required.
  • Oversee site daily activities, including pest control, heating and cooling, cleaning, ground and building maintenance, and purified water systems.
  • Execute renovations work and projects, ordering consumables/parts for site consumption and maintaining stores.
  • Manage budget effectively and execute repairs as needed for both production and building.
  • Identify, prevent, and proactively correct workplace hazards and conditions, performing incident/accident investigations, root cause analysis, and establishing corrective action.
  • Role model EHS practices to prevent material/energy release, reduce EHS impacts, and ensure adherence to EHS regulatory requirements and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Professional license: electrician, millwright, or Science/Engineering degree in a relevant field.
  • Preferred: BASc Engineering, Professional designation in Engineering (PEng), 15+ years of maintenance experience, chemical, food, and/or pharma experience, basic computer skills, and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
