Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

Mazy's Maintenance & Cleaning Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cleaning staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met.
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates for cleaning and maintenance projects.
  • Recommend or arrange for additional services required, such as painting, repair work, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and receive payment for specialized cleaning jobs.
  • Assist cleaners in performing duties and coordinate work activities with other departments.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that all staff are aware of their responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle repetitive tasks.
  • Physical stamina to handle manual labor and heavy loads.
Work Environment:

This role requires working in a variety of settings, including office buildings, commercial facilities, and hospitals/medical facilities or clinics. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and handle repetitive tasks.
