Supporting Student Success: Educational Assistant Opportunity

Northern Lights Public Schools is a leading educational institution in Alberta's Lakeland region, renowned for its commitment to student success and well-being. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Assistant to join our team at the Cold Lake Outreach School.
Key Responsibilities- Assist students with their educational programs, focusing on social skills, behavior skills, and self-help.
- Provide support in a classroom setting, working one-on-one with students and collaborating with teachers to develop individualized plans.
- Utilize training in speech, language, and numeracy strategies to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Program Plans (IPPs) to address diverse learning styles and needs.
- Collaborate with the school community to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Post-secondary training and/or experience as an Educational Assistant.
- Knowledge and experience with behavioral strategies, including SIVA and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training.
- Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities.
- Proficiency with documentation procedures and computer skills.
- Familiarity with alternate communication strategies and individualized education plans.
