Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist students with their educational programs, focusing on social skills, behavior skills, and self-help.
  • Provide support in a classroom setting, working one-on-one with students and collaborating with teachers to develop individualized plans.
  • Utilize behavioral strategies and documentation procedures to ensure student success.
  • Develop and implement strategies to address different learning styles and support students with Individual Program Plans.
  • Collaborate with the school community to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary training and/or experience as an Educational Assistant.
  • Knowledge and experience with behavioral strategies and documentation procedures.
  • Experience working one-on-one and/or in a classroom setting.
  • Knowledge of alternate communication strategies and Individual Program Plans.
  • Training and skills in areas such as SIVA and/or Non-Violent Crisis Intervention are an asset.
