Supporting Student Success: Educational Assistant Opportunity

Northern Lights Public Schools is a leading educational institution in Alberta's Lakeland region, renowned for its commitment to student success and well-being. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Assistant to join our team at the Cold Lake Outreach School.
Key Responsibilities- Assist students with their educational programs, focusing on social skills, behavior skills, and self-help.
- Provide support in a classroom setting, working one-on-one with students and collaborating with teachers to develop individualized plans.
- Utilize behavioral strategies and documentation procedures to ensure student success.
- Develop and implement strategies to address different learning styles and support students with Individual Program Plans.
- Collaborate with the school community to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Post-secondary training and/or experience as an Educational Assistant.
- Knowledge and experience with behavioral strategies and documentation procedures.
- Experience working one-on-one and/or in a classroom setting.
- Knowledge of alternate communication strategies and Individual Program Plans.
- Training and skills in areas such as SIVA and/or Non-Violent Crisis Intervention are an asset.
