Sackville is looking for a qualified individual to become part of the Technology Services Division in the Health Application Services unit as a Lead Business Analyst.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the Manager of Health Applications, the Lead Business Analyst works closely with the user community to collect business requirements and perform workflow analysis, converting them into functional advantages that will aid in the design and successful deployment of applications throughout the organization.

Your responsibilities will encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with both technical and business teams to assess business needs, propose, and develop solutions.
  • Supporting the team in the creation, review, and updating of deliverables, including business process diagrams, standard operating procedures, functional requirements, and status reports.
  • Maintaining strong connections and collaboration with project managers and other key stakeholders such as Business Relationship Management, project teams, and other units.
  • Participating in the planning, development, and implementation of systems, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Being accountable for the maintenance and support of these systems, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Ensuring systems are configured to comply with architectural standards and guidelines.
  • Assisting with functional, integration, and user acceptance testing as necessary.
  • Serving as a resource for team members to facilitate daily activities and advance initiatives.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A post-secondary education of four (4) years in Computer Science, Business, Health Sciences, or a related field, accompanied by a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, or a post-secondary education of two (2) years in the same fields with a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience.

An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered, or the required years of experience may be increased based on the response to this competition.

Proficiency in written and spoken English is required.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate they have training or experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with Meditech or Allscripts Clinical Information Systems.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting principles and issue resolution techniques.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role, including coaching, facilitating, team-building, and/or negotiation skills.
  • Business Analyst Certifications such as ECBA, PMI-PBA, CCBA, BCS Certificate in Business Analysis Practice, CBAP, and/or Scrum Master.

Candidates may be required to demonstrate one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications to be given further consideration.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Travel within the province may be necessary.
  • Must be able to provide periodic off-hours on-call support.
  • Candidates will be required to undergo Criminal History Clearance prior to appointment.

Salary: $63,700 - $88,972 annually - Pay Band 5 - Management and Non-Union Pay Plan
