Senior Accounting Supervisor - Oil & Gas Services
We are collaborating with our esteemed client to identify a new Senior Accounting Supervisor.

As they continue to grow, they are in search of a seasoned and driven Senior Accounting Supervisor to become part of their team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the financial operations of the organization.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance, you will oversee a team of six accounting professionals, ensuring the precision, integrity, and promptness of financial reporting.


Financial Oversight:
Manage all facets of the company's accounting operations, encompassing accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
Team Leadership:

Guide, mentor, and nurture a team of six accounting professionals, promoting a culture of ongoing improvement and professional development.

Financial Reporting:

Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements, management reports, and regulatory submissions.

Budgeting and Financial Planning:

Work alongside the VP of Finance to formulate and oversee the company's annual budget, offering insights and analyses to facilitate strategic decision-making.

Internal Controls:

Establish, implement, and supervise internal controls to protect company assets and guarantee adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes, boost efficiencies, and utilize technology to improve accuracy and minimize manual tasks.

Audit and Tax Compliance:
Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation is precise and readily accessible. Supervise tax planning and compliance, collaborating with external advisors as needed.
Succession Planning:

Prepare for a smooth transition to the Controller position within the next 1-2 years by acquiring a comprehensive understanding of the company's financial operations and strategic objectives.

A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline is required.
Experience:

Prior experience in accounting and finance roles, with a minimum of years of progressive experience, preferably within the oil and gas services sector.

Knowledge:

Strong understanding of financial reporting requirements and internal control frameworks.

Technical Skills:

Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in MS Excel.

Leadership Skills:

Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.

Analytical Skills:

Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a sharp attention to detail and the capacity to interpret complex financial data.

Communication Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to present financial information clearly and concisely to senior management.
