About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Counter Attendant to join our team at 1887155 Ontario Inc. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a clean and safe dining environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units, as well as clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
  • Dishwashing: Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and place dishes in storage areas.
  • Food Preparation: Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas, sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, and prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
  • Customer Service: Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, take customers' orders, and use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
  • Housekeeping: Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, and handle and store cleaning products.
  • Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, and remove kitchen garbage and trash.
  • Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, and perform other maintenance tasks as required.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, working under pressure, and meeting tight deadlines.
