Job Requirements

The following requirements and qualifications are essential for this position:


• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering is required

• A minimum of five years' experience in transportation engineering is necessary

• Registration with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) is considered an asset

• Proficiency in traffic engineering software such as Highway Capacity Software, Synchro, SimTraffic, Vissim, EMME, and Visum is an asset

• Experience with drafting and design software like AutoCAD, Civil3D, and AutoTURN is also an asset

• Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data management systems such as Microsoft Access or SQL is considered an asset

• Experience in cost estimating, contract document preparation, contract administration, and construction inspection is considered an asset

• Experience on projects with the Ministry of Transportation Ontario is considered an asset

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook is required

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential

• Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary

• Ability to analyze and solve problems with and without supervision is required

• Fosters a positive attitude with commitment to working as part of a team

• Class G License and full-time access to your own vehicle are required

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering is required
