Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Supervisor to join our team at 10688436 Canada Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our transportation department, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods and personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate the activities of 5-10 team members, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of tasks and projects.
  • Prepare and Analyze reports to track production and other key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Train and Develop team members, providing coaching and mentoring to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and Operate signal and track switch control panels, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods and personnel.
  • Coordinate Repairs and Rentals of equipment and vehicles, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Requisition and Order materials, equipment, and supplies, ensuring timely delivery and optimal inventory management.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the trucking industry.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Conditions: Ability to work under pressure, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a strong ability to work as part of a team.
