Position: Inventory Management Assistant
Department: Office of the Vice-President, Academic
Employment Type: Temporary Part-Time – Leave Replacement
Compensation: $25.00/hour - Up to 24 hours/week

The Inventory Management Assistant is responsible for providing essential support and coverage for the existing inventory system, ensuring precise tracking and reporting, timely requisitions, and efficient resource allocation through established practices and methodologies.

Qualifications:

• A two-year diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• At least one year of progressive experience in inventory control and management initiatives.

• Experience in a post-secondary educational environment is advantageous.

• Proficiency in using supply chain management software tools (e.g., ERP systems).

• Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders in a support role.

• Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications and office technology, including Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, etc.).

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management capabilities.

• Excellent judgment, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Willingness to travel between various sites as required.

• This is an in-person position requiring reliable commuting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in ongoing inventory management projects.

• Collaborate with College stakeholders to uphold standards of practice.

• Provide training to program team members regarding requirements and systems.

• Engage with vendors, consultants, and subject matter experts to implement the latest methods and technologies for inventory control within established processes.

• Work with all College departments to identify capital assets and inventory needs.

• Coordinate with departmental stakeholders on product specifications to ensure consistent supply and stock of necessary goods.

• Conduct regular audits of inventory to ensure compliance with established standards.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
