We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with heart and blood vessel conditions.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need to possess a graduate degree from an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound, Sonography Canada certification, and Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure. A minimum of one year of clinical experience is preferred, with experience in a tertiary care setting and adult congenital heart disease being an asset.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Echo ultrasound examinations as requested, adhering to departmental standards and techniques.
- Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess patients and their conditions.
- Develop and maintain a high level of technical expertise in cardiovascular ultrasound imaging.
This is a long-term, full-time position with a 75-hour biweekly schedule. You will be required to work shift hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends. The hourly rate is $39.96, with eligibility for a Market Adjustment of approximately $0.23 biweekly. Successful candidates may also be eligible for our comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, and long-term disability insurance, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
