Cardiac Sonographer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with heart and blood vessel conditions.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need to have a graduate degree from an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound, Sonography Canada certification, and Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure. You will also need to have current BLS certification and a minimum of one year clinical experience. Experience in a tertiary care setting and with Philips IE 33, Epiq 7, and Xcelera Workstations is an asset.
HoursThis is a long assignment full-time position, requiring 75 hours biweekly. Shift work is required, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
Compensation and IncentivesThe hourly rate for this position is $34.24 - $39.96, with the possibility of a Market Adjustment of approximately $.23 biweekly. Successful candidates may also be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
