About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at Tony Battista Paving Inc. as a Paving Specialist - Finisher. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on our paving projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and ensure it is properly set.
  • Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification to meet project requirements.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools, ensuring a high-quality finish.
  • Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures to complete the paving project.
  • Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and protect them from the elements.
  • Waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces to ensure they are safe and durable.
  • Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures to maintain the integrity of the project.
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the paving industry.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including dusty, cold, and hot environments.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, and in confined spaces.
