About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at Tony Battista Paving Inc. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finishes on our concrete projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish
  • Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and ensure it meets specifications
  • Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to complete tasks safely and efficiently
  • Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
  • Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures to ensure structural integrity
  • Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and prevent damage
  • Waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces to ensure durability and longevity
  • Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the trade
  • Permanent employment with a regular schedule of 30 to 44 hours per week
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with heavy loads, dust, and varying temperatures
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work at heights
  • Sound discrimination and ability to work in a noisy environment
  • Standing for extended periods and ability to lift heavy loads
