Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager to join our Kingston team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and expanding our customer base across the region from Trenton to Gananoque. You will focus on building strong relationships with customers in the industrial (MRO and OEM) and contractor sectors, ensuring that their electrical, automation, and lighting needs are met with top-quality products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring consistent satisfaction and loyalty.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory, focusing on industrial (MRO and OEM) and contractor markets.
- Provide expert advice on electrical, automation, and lighting products, tailoring solutions to meet the specific needs of customers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and exceptional customer service.
- Achieve sales targets by developing and executing strategic sales plans.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities, adjusting strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.
Requirements:
- Minimum Grade 12 education, electrical background or post-secondary education in a related Electrical Engineering Technician/Technologist program considered an asset.
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably within the electrical, automation, or lighting industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a large geographic territory.
- Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for travel within the assigned area.
