About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Supervisor to join our team at Canmark Family Farming Ltd. as a key member of our farm operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of our hog and pig farming facilities, ensuring efficient and safe production processes.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and logs of farm activities, including animal handling, feed management, and equipment maintenance.
  • Collaborate with our farm management team to develop and implement strategies for improving farm productivity and reducing costs.
  • Supervise and train farm staff on best practices for animal care, handling, and management.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in hog and pig farming or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of farm operations, animal husbandry, and farm management principles.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with farm staff and management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in agriculture or a related field an asset.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working 30-50 hours per week in a rural area. The successful candidate will be required to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
