Job Summary

The Senior Manager, HR Project Management role is a key position within the HR Globalization Office, responsible for leading the project management of the globalization program and ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team's mandate, strategies, and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive awareness and adoption of project management disciplines and governance to ensure the successful delivery of HR Globalization projects, aligned with the enterprise project delivery framework.
  • Work with stakeholders and project teams to translate activities into detailed project plans that identify and track cross-stream dependencies.
  • Collaborate with existing HR project managers to ensure alignment and tracking of inter-dependent projects with the HR Globalization Office, such as HR technology implementations.
  • Manage the overall transformation program and identify and track key stakeholder meetings necessary for the global HR organization design.
  • Provide day-to-day management of key deliverables and program office milestones to deliver Steering Committee updates and ensure sign-off and approval of project milestones and deliverables.
  • Work closely with the HR technology team on technology deployments and timing of implementations.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.
  • Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment.
  • Champion a client-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Certification in project management (PMP) and 2+ years of business experience.
  • Expert familiarity with project management disciplines and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of the Bank or FIs is preferred.
  • 2+ years of running complex projects, preferably with experience in an IT environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills, relationship management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be proactive, self-starter, and capable of moving forward through complex situations, prioritizing.
  • Fluent in Spanish (verbal/written) is an asset.
