Your key responsibilities will encompass:
  • Providing comprehensive bookkeeping assistance to our clients and internal teams.
  • Managing diverse accounting service tasks, such as general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and generating reports from accounting software.
  • Effectively overseeing compilation engagements, which include direct client communication for inquiries, identifying requirements, and resolving issues.
  • Preparing corporate and individual tax submissions.
  • Carrying out additional duties as assigned.
A successful candidate will possess:
  • A post-secondary degree in accounting, finance, or business, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Understanding of Canadian bookkeeping and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software including QBO, Sage 50, QuickBooks desktop, and Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping tools such as Dext or Caseware is highly advantageous.
  • Strong computer literacy and the ability to quickly adapt to new software applications.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the capacity to handle multiple tasks.
  • Willingness to accommodate the specific needs of our clients, which may involve occasional travel to client sites.
  • A collaborative and team-oriented approach.
