Please note: This position will be based at our Dresden, Ontario location.
Your primary responsibilities will include:- Providing bookkeeping support to our clients and internal professionals, ensuring accurate and timely financial data.
- Handling various accounting service assignments, including general ledger postings, account reconciliations, and report generation from accounting systems.
- Efficiently managing compilation engagements, including direct client interaction for queries, requirements identification, and issue resolution.
- Preparing corporate and personal tax returns, staying up-to-date with changing tax laws and regulations.
- Fulfilling other responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Must possess critical thinking skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business, or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of Canadian bookkeeping and accounting practices, with a strong understanding of financial regulations.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QBO, Sage 50, QuickBooks desktop, and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping applications like Dext or Caseware is a strong asset.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software.
- Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
- Flexibility to meet the unique needs of our clients, including occasional travel to client locations.
