About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Attendant to join our team at Assurance Home Care Inc. As a Home Care Attendant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their personal hygiene and comfort.
  • Mobility and Transfers: Safely transfer clients from bed to wheelchair or other mobility devices, and assist with walking and balance.
  • Medication Management: Assist clients with taking their medications, as prescribed by their healthcare provider.
  • Household Tasks: Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with clients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in home care or a related field.
  • Certifications: First Aid and CPR certification required.
  • Language: Fluency in English required.
