Pharmacy Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Innomar Strategies. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Pharmacy Manager in managing the day-to-day workload and ensuring efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants to fulfill prescription orders and provide excellent customer service.
  • Work independently to label and fill/refill prescriptions, perform double checks, and verify customer information.
  • Identify potential therapeutic issues and seek guidance from Pharmacists.
  • Work collaboratively with Innomar and ABSG Patient Programs to fulfill pharmacy responsibilities.
  • Prepare and review billing, claims, and disbursements, as well as maintain accurate inventory.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and respond to their inquiries.
  • Enter prescriptions into the computer system and retrieve/correct data as needed.
  • Screen calls and gather relevant information for Pharmacists.
  • Order, maintain, and prepare inventory of medications.
  • Review invoices and other documentation.
  • Pack and ship prescription orders.
  • Receive and maintain accurate inventory.
  • Report Adverse Events in accordance with provincial regulatory standards.
  • Renew OCP Registration annually and participate in Quality Assurance Process.
Requirements:
  • Pharmacy Technician diploma from an accredited college and successful completion of Structured Practical Training or OCP Bridging Program.
  • Two or more years of related pharmacy experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Kroll and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations, pharmaceutical industry, and drug distribution practices.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service, business acumen, analytical and mathematical skills, and effective communication.
