Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Halton Healthcare. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the pharmacy team in the preparation and distribution of medications to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Restock and maintain automated dispensing units, ensuring accurate and timely dispensing of medications.
  • Operate select pharmacy automation systems, including the Omnicell automated dispensing unit.
  • Prepackage unit doses and prepare sterile pharmaceutical products.
  • Assist in the operation of the pharmacy, including inventory management and control of narcotic and controlled drugs.
Requirements
  • Completion of a recognized college-level Pharmacy Assistant or Technician program.
  • Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
  • Previous hospital experience with unit dose and/or automated drug distribution systems and intravenous admixture service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position working Monday to Sunday, with various rotating shifts, including days, evenings, and nights. Hours are subject to change based on operational needs.
